Where can I get sofa cushion covers?
I have an ancient wooden sofa and chair. They are made entirely of cherry wood, and the only part that is fabric is the removable cushions. (On the sofa there are three on the seat and three on the back and on the chair, one on the seat and one on the back.) It’s kind of similar to a futon, but doesn’t fold down and won’t take a futon mattress.
Years ago, my grandmother, who was a professional seamstress, made non-removable covers for the cushions. Unfortunately, the covers are hideous by today’s fashion, and the furniture has been sitting in a basement for at least twenty years and now smells of mildew.
My grandmother died nearly ten years ago. Where can I get covers to replace the ones that she made?
take measurements of the cushions and go to a fabric store like Joanns. they have patterns of easy to make sofa cushion covers.and plenty of modern fabrics to choose from.
